Nine Maidens Dance

"Some years ago I visited the Nine Maidens, the stone circle which lies on the moor between Madron and Morvah in West Cornwall. That day a thick sea fog had come ashore, and as I approached the circle across the moor I noticed a strange effect occurring. As the mist swirled about the stones, it made them disappear in a random sequence, only to reappear a few seconds later. As I watched, the shape of the stones seemed to take on some sort of ghostly human form. the Nine Maidens danced!

"Cornwall is more than blessed with places of immense natural beauty, which have been a source of inspiration to generations. The pieces presented here are in no particular order, but are rather a series of personal reflections on places and events that, over the years, have had special meaning to me."
