Canvas crab pot bag

This quality canvas bag features a hand drawn sign showing how to make a traditional Cornish withy crab pot. The sign was made in the 1970's by David Chapple of Penberth Cove, Cornwall. David was a master fisherman and maker of these traditional ‘inkwell' crab pots.  Ideal for the beach or shopping!

'From the Dell to the Ocean' is a short film which has recently been made in conjunction with Barbara Santi of Arwen Productions by David Chapple's grandson Joseph and his son Billy, which includes cine film footage of David making the pots back in those days.  It is a poignant film showing three generations of the Chapple family, well worth a look.
