Sending Cornish gifts and cards this Christmas

Sending Cornish Christmas gifts & cards

How we can help make sending Cornish gifts & cards easy this Christmas.

Bonfire Night is over - just! - so let's brace ourselves for the face that the festive season is upon us.  I thought it might be helpful to give a quick round up of how we can help you to send Cornish gifts, cards and wishes to friends and family, at home and overseas, this Christmas.

Calendar 2025

The Evocative Cornwall calendar has always been popular with Kernowphiles, those living in Cornwall and those further away.  We pick the images deliberately each year to include a mix of well-known landmarks as well as lesser known places. Enjoy or send it, safe in the knowledge that you'll be getting something a little different from last year.  For expats who can only dream of a visit back home, we hope it includes a little of what is going on here. For people closer to home, dates of festivals act as a useful memory jogger for things you might want to catch each year.  Also including snippets of the Cornish language & Cornish tidetables, it's a very easy gift to pop in the post. Delighted to say we have very many, very loyal customers, which I hope speaks for itself!

Help with posting

Easy enough if you can get to the post, but if time is pressing we are delighted to offer a postage service.  We will pop the calendar in the post for you, and include a Christmas card with a message at no extra charge.  Change the addressee details in the order, and add your message in the comments box, and we'll do the rest.

Other gifts

If you don't fancy sending a calendar, why not mix things up a bit with an Evocative Cornwall Diary or Address Book?  Both are easy to send through the post, and both are packed with Cornish photographs.  Wonderfully simple gifts to mail to your loved ones.

Christmas cards

Our Cornish Christmas cards have been part of the business from the very beginning.  This year we have 9 to chose from, all Cornish scenes and showing a mixture of snowy landscapes and Christmas lights.  New for 2024 is 'A Cornish Christmas' featuring a snowy shot of Wheal Coates on the cliffs at St Agnes.  Delighted to get some snow and sea in the same picture!  The message inside reads 'Nadelik Lowen, Happy Christmas'.  We sell them in packs of 5 cards and envelopes, each pack of a single image.

Hopefully, by producing a new card each year, it helps customers be sure they haven't sent the same image before! It was a bitterly cold day, a Sunday, when we captured this shot.  For much of the afternoon the snow had been falling heavily around us.  I was concerned it had all been a bit gloomy, when I spun around and noticed a distant glow. The clouds thinned momentarily - and suddenly the scene seemed much more heartwarming.

If there is anything we can help make it easier for you to send Cornish gifts and cards this Christmas, please drop us a line or pick up the phone.  We may not be able to pick up just then, but will ring you back as soon as we can.

Is it too soon to wish you "Nadelik Lowen"? (quite possibly!)
