Olympic Torch in Penzance
I went to see the Olympic torch arriving in Penzance early on Saturday morning. It was great to see how many people had turned out to watch, and it was a real blessing to have such clement weather. I’m sure you have all seen loads of pictures of the torch, so I won’t bore you with more than one of mine. However, I thought you might like to see the scene in Mounts Bay as we were waiting for the torch – the sea was flat calm and glassy, there was no wind, the sky was mostly grey but with a glorious band of sunshine lighting up the horizon and this wonderful lugger absolutely making the scene!
