We adore this tiny valley and cove at Chapel Porth!  A beautiful stretch of sand appears as the tide drops and, with care, it is possible to walk along it to Porthtowan.  The Atlantic swells deliver their finest year-round, for surfers and body boarders, and dark caves tempt you in to explore.  If you love the Cornish coastline, this greetings card is sure to be a winner!

The cliff tops bear the marks of Cornwall's mining heritage, with ruined buildings and mine waste much of which is now recolonised by a carpet of heather and gorse.  But it is the remains of Wheal Coates engine house perched as it is on the cliff edge that sets the scene apart, placing it firmly in Cornish hearts. 

While it might be an overused adjective, this landscape is truly iconic!
